Victorian Stairwell Restoration

This grand Victorian stairwell window c.1872 had suffered over the years from neglect and the hailstorm of 2010 was the last straw. Adadaz faithfully restored the window to it's former glory.

Many pieces of glass were missing, suffering major paint loss or had been badly damaged by hail. Broken pieces of glass were replaced, extant glass carefully cleaned and conserved.

The family crest, the centrepiece of the window was recreated using the remaining fragments as a guide. It and other pieces were first etched and then hand painted and fired to faithfully reproduce the original artwork.

Protective glazing was also added on installation to prevent any future damage from weather events.
